Arturo Valls is bringing Movistar Plus+ to the forefront as the Spaniard who channels the energy of Jimmy Fallon. The presenter and producer introduced this Friday that This Is My Jam: Spain is a Spanish take on the format created by the New York comedian, unveiled during a press conference at the current FesTVal de Vitoria-Gasteiz edition.

“It’s a show I’m going to watch. It’s a show, it’s all fun, and the contestants will tackle genres that aren’t their own, proving that people from all walks of music can rise to the challenge,” the comedian stated at a press event hosted by the Spanish platform.

Valls leads as conductor and producer. This Is My Jam Spain promises superb entertainment where two well-known couples test their musical and vocal prowess through creative quizzes and games. The program’s musical direction is steered by Victor Elias, ensuring a rich blend of Spanish and international hits for audiences to enjoy.

“There was extensive discussion about how to fit this format here. Viewers will experience a dynamic, nonstop journey with plenty of surprises. The show would gain from a broad audience, and the team is aiming for momentum from the outset,” remarked José Miguel Contreras, co-founder of Lacoproductora and executive producer of the new space. He noted late-night energy and ongoing excitement behind the scenes, hinting at the ambitious pace of the project.

The lineup of guests for the first season reads like a who’s who of contemporary Spanish pop culture: Paco León, Nathy Peluso, Amaia Romero, Rigoberta Bandini, David Bisbal, Luis Zahera, Blanca Paloma, Amaia Salamanca, Asier Etxeandía, Lorena Castell, Jaime Lorente, Ana Guerra, Nia, Ruth Lorenzo, Silvia Abril, Edu Soto, Antonio Orozco, Bustamante, Carlos Areces, María Pelae, Chanel, Marta Sánchez, Carlos Rivera, Abraham Mateo, Dani Fernández, Pilar Rubio, Edurne, Joaquín Reyes, Antonio Carmona, Lucía Fernanda, María Rodríguez and Fran Perea. These personalities are set to join the series as featured guests across its inaugural season, bringing a mix of music, humor, and high-energy performances.

The format is produced as an adaptation of the original show That’s My Jam, created by Universal Television Alternative Studio in collaboration with Electric Hot Dog, which produced the U.S. version. The first season in the United States achieved substantial viewership, surpassing two hundred fifty million combined views across linear and digital platforms. This Spain adaptation marks the sixth international edition of the brand, with versions already in progress or completed in the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Germany and further afield.

This Is My Jam Spain is a Lacoproductora production under PRISA Media in partnership with Pólvora Films and Universal Television Alternative Studios, a division of Universal Studio Group, and is distributed to Movistar Plus+ as the platform of choice for the series’ Spanish audience.
