A renewed cooperation agreement between Turisme Comunitat Valenciana and RTVE strengthens the support for Benidorm Fest 2024. This partnership ensures that the Valencian Community’s advertising and tourism messaging will occupy prominent space on RTVE platforms throughout 2024, aligning the music competition with the region’s promotional strategy. The Consell confirms a financial commitment of 1.5 million euros, matching the level of backing seen in 2023.

Under the terms of the agreement, Turisme Comunitat Valenciana will provide financial backing aimed at boosting tourism advertising and communications across the Community. RTVE will undertake several strategic actions during the Benidorm Festival celebrations, including the selection of Spain’s Eurovision entry. RTVE will also be responsible for organizing and producing the musical event, as well as recording and broadcasting the performances. Live television coverage will include three galas scheduled for January 30, February 1, and February 3, 2024.

The broadcaster will oversee the concept and overall design of Benidorm Fest, managing the audiovisual production and recording for distribution across television channels and interactive digital media to maximize reach and impact.

The agreement outlines specific activities tied to its purpose, covering the costs of constructing stages, equipment rental, filming logistics, production and editing resources, sound, post-production work, and the personnel required on site to bring the event to fruition.

Turisme Comunitat Valenciana and RTVE underscore that the collaboration creates meaningful synergies between Benidorm Fest and the Eurovision Song Contest. They believe these synergies will expand the visibility of Benidorm Fest and advance tourism promotion for the Valencian Community. The arrangement also supports a high-quality production that helps Spain’s Eurovision candidate be selected within a context rich in culture and television appeal.

Preparations are underway to transform Benidorm’s Palau d’Esports L’Illa into a premier competition venue, with the design for this year unveiled recently. RTVE has announced the hosts who will lead the event, including Ruth Lorenzo and Marc Calderó, with Ines Hernand also contributing to the hosting lineup. In addition to traditional gala broadcasts, special programs will be available on RTVE Play, and post-gala activities are planned to let artists share the moment with fans. Aitor Albizúa will join the presenting team for these moments.
