Benidorm lights up for Eurovision with a star‑studded Benidorm Fest vibe

Benidorm will sparkle on May 11 as Eurovision places its spotlight there. The festival’s broadcast, featuring Nebulossa and Zorra representing Spain, has shifted to the Julio Iglesias Auditorium in l’Aigüera Park for the big Benidorm Fest Euroclub party. Fans from past editions are expected to drop in, bringing extra energy with their live performances. This event serves to rally support for the contest and to gather thousands of Eurovision fans before, during, and after Europe’s premier music event. It is organized jointly by RTVE, the City Council of Benidorm, the Valencian Government, and Fotur. The party, announced this Wednesday in Madrid, will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, and will feature several confirmed artists, including Blanca Paloma, Sofía Martín, José Otero, Noan, Mantra, Sharonne, and Sofía Coll, among others. The lineup also includes multiple DJs and large screens so attendees can follow the Eurovision acts. Maria Eizaguirre, director of Communications and Participation at RTVE, underscored that the goal is for the Benidorm Fest family to accompany Nebulossa on the road to Malmö. She highlighted the importance of shaping an international narrative to gain global recognition. Jesús Carrobles, Benidorm’s Events Councillor, agreed, noting that the brand started two years ago should not stay confined to Benidorm Fest. The aim is to strengthen the image and promote beyond Spain, which is why the Malmö Euroclub exists. He explained that the Benidorm Euroclub will be hosted in a more comfortable venue, with free admission and giant screens to watch the final. He added a hopeful wish to toast Nebulossa’s victory.
