The Alicante Institute of Culture Juan Gil-Albert has announced a new season dedicated to classical music that will travel to multiple venues across the province. The tour kicks off next Tuesday at the Las Clarisas Cultural Center in Elche, signaling a broader effort to bring high-quality live music to diverse communities and make classical repertoire more accessible to audiences beyond traditional concert halls.
The Primavera Musical IAC project is designed to promote music in a variety of towns while showcasing the talents of students from the Superior Conservatory of Music of Alicante Óscar Esplá. This initiative also provides these aspiring musicians with valuable opportunities to broaden their study by engaging with public performance, an experience that complements their formal training and helps them develop stage presence, repertoire breadth, and professional discipline.
From the outset, the cultural leadership describes the program as part of a strategic push to offer activities that are competitive, close to communities, and easily reachable for residents. By linking performances to well-loved local spaces and events, the project aims to highlight the rich and diverse patrimony of the province and to strengthen cultural ties among towns, schools, and audiences alike.
While the calendar will expand over time to include additional concerts and municipalities, the initial slate includes three performances. The first concert features chamber groups and is scheduled for next Tuesday, March 12, in the Patio de los Naranjos at the Las Clarisas Cultural Center in Elche. A second recital, performed by percussion students, is planned for April 25 at the Benidorm Town Hall Auditorium. The third event, on May 16, will take place at Alcoy’s CADA venue and will present a recital blending piano and voice. Each event is designed to be accessible for attendees who are curious about classical music as well as for seasoned listeners who appreciate nuanced, intimate performances in supportive, community-oriented settings.
