UA Guitar Master opens a new recital course in Alicante
In addition to the accolades surrounding Russell, the UA Master program in Alicante is expanding its reach with a new recital course. The recent development demonstrates the ongoing commitment to high-quality instruction and to fostering the next generation of classical guitar talent in the region.
The artist’s achievements extend beyond performance. Russell earned a Grammy in 2005 for Latin Air, recognized as the best instrumental soloist in classical music for that year. He has also been honored with an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Arizona in Tucson in 2014, a testament to his impact on music education and performance worldwide. The association extends its appreciation for Russell’s profound and sincere approach to music. His ongoing involvement with the UA Master’s Degree program and the Alicante Classical Guitar Project highlights a sustained commitment to teaching and mentorship.
