Why has this year’s youth arts festival grown into a multinational celebration?
The answer has two parts. First, 2024 is declared the Year of the Family in Russia, and the vast nation acts as one family that gathers on the festival site each year through its participants. The aim is to discover and share each other’s cultural traditions. Second, the festival has welcomed numerous ideas about national flavors from regions across the country since the previous edition. There is a real demand in the events industry for high-quality programs that spotlight the art and heritage of diverse nations.
With this in mind, the team decided that Tavrida would host a fresh, multinational artistic tapestry. The younger generation is reimagining culture, and bringing that perspective to one place offers value for both local and visiting guests. Attendees can experience Russia in a single location, draw inspiration, and then set off to explore a broader landscape in more depth.
— What is planned for the program in Tavrida.ART?
Traditionally, this festival goes beyond a simple music lineup. While renowned musical acts will appear, the program also features original artists such as Bashkir musician Marat Taturas, Yakut performer Olena UUTAI, the OIME collective, and the Karelian indie folk group TUARI. Additional musical acts include Vetkafolk and KhVOYA. Beyond music, guests will be treated to thematic film screenings, exhibitions by emerging artists, immersive installations, and national theater performances.
A highlight is the theatrical project titled 5-episode series Scenes from Russian Life. Pushkin. Each episode revisits classic works in a contemporary context, offering new angles on familiar stories.
In keeping with tradition, the Art.Youth fair will return, showcasing the regional traditions of Russia alongside modern design. Fresh products from young designers and artists will be on display, while the fair’s headline features will spotlight major Russian brands and companies. A dedicated corner will present collaborations in the VK Store.
— What else can guests and participants expect at Tavrida.ART?
Flagship events include a gastrofestival at the ART-EXPO exhibition center, where visitors can sample a variety of national dishes from across the country. The traditional costumed art procession returns, along with a musical recognition program called People’s Artist, honoring the work of famed composer Alexandra Pakhmutova.
— The organizers mentioned more famous musicians—can names be shared?

The lineup includes Three Days of Rain, OTYKEN, Hatters, Medzhikul, 05:00, NLO, along with the Campanella Stone Star orchestra and Garik Sukachev, MIA BOYKA, NY, Mary Gu, Akmal, Zhenya Trofimov x Room of Culture, ST, Tatyana Kurtukova, MIRAVI, OM. Stas Yarushin will join the festival with his team to film episodes for the MUZLOFT music podcast.
— The festival takes place in a unique location in Crimea. How does this setting influence the atmosphere and schedule?
The venue is integral to the experience. The organizers work to ensure that the environment complements the program, and guests are invited to feel inspired by the place where new creative projects are nurtured.
— Final question: how can attendance be arranged?
Free tickets are available on the festival site. Registration is offered in three categories: Pros, for young professionals working in creative industries who participate in a competitive selection; Amateurs, for Crimean residents and their guests who arrive early enough to stay in a tent on the site; and Friends, for guests who attend events and depart after the daily program ends.
