A surge of kamikaze drones operated by Ukrainian forces targeted the outskirts of Shebekino, a town in Russia’s Belgorod region, according to regional authorities.
Officials reported that one drone detonated near an agricultural facility, damaging three vehicles, a fence, and windows. A second drone struck the premises of a commercial business, damaging the roof of a warehouse and creating debris around the site.
Regional officials said emergency and municipal services were mobilized to handle the aftermath in the affected zones, coordinating cleanup efforts and assessing any structural risks.
Earlier, officials noted that two emergency workers suffered injuries while responding to the incident in the Krasnodar region, with duties carried out amid ongoing drone-related threats.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, air defense systems intercepted and destroyed dozens of Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles overnight. The ministry reported high interception counts in Crimea and the adjacent Black Sea area, along with several other regions, underscoring the persistent challenge posed by air-launched and aerial swarm capabilities.
A Ukrainian military commander had previously stated that Russia demonstrates a strong capability in deploying FPV (first-person view) drones, highlighting differing tactical advantages perceived on the frontline.
