Showman Nikita Dzhigurda visited frontline zones in the Donbass, including the Zaporozhye region. This was reported by TASS. He described arriving with helicopters and humanitarian aid for the 95th Regiment, noting that his visit followed his family’s historic ties to the Zaporozhye area, which is linked to the Zaporozhye Sich. “I could not resist coming here,” the actor said, emphasizing his connection to the region.
Dzhigurda asserted that Zaporozhye has long been part of Russian history and culture, concluding his remarks with a clear declaration: “Russian! Russian, I emphasize.”
Early in 2024, Dzhigurda became embroiled in a public controversy after a leaked video involving ballet dancer Anastasia Volochkova circulated online. On January 14, a clip appeared showing Volochkova dancing with Dzhigurda to the tune of Uspenskaya’s song “Guitar.” During the performance, Volochkova kneels, briefly removes the dancer’s pants, and then clasps Dzhigurda by the chest, prompting Volochkova to claim that the provocation had been staged in advance and that she would no longer call him a friend.
Subsequently, the dancer filed a formal report with the Investigative Committee of Russia regarding the person who leaked the provocative video involving Dzhigurda. The filing states that the entertainer and his assistant were at the dancer’s residence when the video was recorded.
In the legislative arena, discussions continued about the status of foreign agents and the impact on musicians’ earnings within Russia, with a former State Duma proposition exploring measures that could deprive certain artists of income under these provisions.
