Movies about Bandits: A Comedy About Crime and On-Screen Chaos

The new comedy series “Movies about bandits” premiered online on June 15, 2023, according to the press service of the Premier streaming platform. The project brings together a cast that includes Mikhail Porechenkov and Dmitry Nagiyev, delivering a story that blends crime and humor with a distinctly offbeat tone.

At the heart of the show are former criminals who decide to stage a real movie about their own lives. The central figure, Le Havre, a crime syndicate boss from a provincial town, plans to collaborate with a stubborn taxi driver named Belyash and a security guard from a private security company, Kolyan, to tell their story on screen. The premise unfolds with the idea that ex-thugs, venturing into the world of cinema for the first time, must also confront the unforeseen complication of their on-screen savior getting taken hostage by the project’s own outlandish crew and circumstances.

Director Sergei Malyugov expressed that the script immediately suggested a certain energy he called “film hooliganism.” He explained that every actor and crew member helped shape a distinctive, quirky world. The production of the series took on a spirit of mutual affection and collaboration, with a belief that the result would be kind, funny, and sincere. He added that this is something many people miss in the current cinematic landscape and that the project reflects a humane and playful approach to storytelling.

In addition to Mikhail Porechenkov and Dmitry Nagiyev, the cast also features Stanislav Duzhnikov, Mikhail Evlanov, Natalia Bochkareva, Anna Banshchikova, Sergey Astakhov, and other notable performers who contribute to the ensemble’s dynamic energy.

Earlier announcements highlighted other comedic offerings in the streaming slate, including the online premiere of the series “Vika-Hurricane,” starring Aglaya Tarasova, which was scheduled for online broadcast as well.
