The debut of the film performance Yusha, Yur, Yurena and Alexander Sergeyevich is slated to take place at the Rassvet Palace of Culture. This news was confirmed by the production’s press service and reported to socialbites.ca. The premiere will unfold on two consecutive days, June 7 and June 8, inviting audiences to step into a unique blend of theater and cinema. Lina Arifulina, already recognized for her work on Star Factory, serves as the project producer, guiding the creative pathway and coordinating the collaboration among the team.

At its core, the production interweaves the lives of two literary figures—writer Yuri Tynyanov, the author of The Death of the Vizier-Mukhtar, and the central character Alexander Griboyedov. The artistic team includes Andrey Stadnikov, a laureate of the Golden Mask National Theater Award and the Tom Stoppard Award, and Alisa Kretova, a graduate of Dmitry Brusnikin’s workshop at the Moscow Art Theater School. Their combined experience brings a layered approach to the performance, balancing historical context with contemporary stagecraft.

In key roles, Pyotr Skvortsov takes on the two writer figures, drawing on a portfolio that includes Cavalry, Chapaev and Void, Acid, T-34, and Kept Women on screen. The ensemble also features Aina Arifulina, Maria Melik-Pasadanova, Gleb Bochkov, Ivan Semenov, David Kaas, Zakhar Nasakin, and Yuri Mezhevich, whose performances contribute to the piece’s dynamic interplay between memory and imagination.

Stage design by Olga Suslova recreates the atmosphere of 1920s Soviet cinema, shaping the venue into a living space where projection and material realign the audience’s perception. A large movie screen becomes a luminous canvas that turns white as the audience settles in, while a nested emerald veil encircles the space. This veil serves as a visual metaphor, separating the audience from ordinary reality and transporting them into a realm where fantasy and history intermingle in surprising ways.
