Max, the streaming service formerly known as HBO Max, presents a compact documentary series about Warner Bros. that marks the studio’s centennial, celebrated in April 2023. A new trailer for the project has just dropped, signaling a deep dive into a century of cinema history.
The production gathered more than 60 conversations with a wide circle of industry figures, including directors, actors, producers, journalists, and historians. In the trailer, viewers glimpse conversations with celebrated directors such as Martin Scorsese, Patty Jenkins, Baz Luhrmann, Clint Eastwood, and Todd Phillips, alongside iconic performers like Harvey Keitel, Keanu Reeves, George Clooney, and Matthew Modine. Opra h Winfrey also features among the prominent voices contributing to the documentary.
The book accompanying the project, 100 Years of Warner Bros., collects insights from a similar roster of creators and performers, shedding light on the studio’s evolution across decades. The narration is provided by Morgan Freeman, lending a resonant voice that threads the narrative together.
Entitled 100 Years of Warner Bros. — The Thing Dreams Are Made Of this segment will unfold across four episodes. Each installment carries its own subtitle and thematic focus, including Clint, Kubrick, and Kryptonite; Heroes, Villains, and Friends; and The Magic World and the Big Bang. The first two episodes dedicate their attention to the studio’s formative years, tracing its emergence and early influence. Following that, new installments will cover the 1970s era before continuing through the 80s and into the modern era. The initial release is scheduled to arrive on Max on May 25, with the concluding installments debuting on June 1.
Earlier previews announced a teaser for a project titled Full Circle, featuring Steven Soderbergh alongside Claire Danes and Timothy Olyphant.
