Lyubov Surova, a deputy from Yaroslavl, commented on the cancellation of comedian Dmitry Gavrilov’s planned show in the city. The topic of Gavrilov’s performance had already been raised on a Telegram channel managed by a member of the public audience.
She stated that she remains opposed to concerts and live performances in Yaroslavl by individuals who are not only afraid, but who have also betrayed their country and their people by publicly aligning with the enemy. “But there is no reason for me to engage with cowards,” she remarked, making her stance clear.
This portion of her reply came in response to a subscriber who asked for the comedian’s concert to be banned.
She added that fate had already dealt its judgment, leaving such performers with a certain unattractive trait. The deputy also thanked Gavrilov for not betraying his country while continuing to support many in the “creative crowd.” She clarified that she would not push for the cancellation of Gavrilov’s performance or take any punitive steps in connection with his visit to the town.
Earlier in the week, Lyubov Uspenskaya recalled a situation where Khaidarov cancelled concerts following a failed cosmetic procedure.
