The MTS digital ecosystem announces a new, no-cost IT training initiative hosted on the Generation M online platform. This program opens doors for young learners across Russia to explore every step of website creation in a hands-on workshop format, moving from initial concept and design through optimization and deployment. At course completion, participants will submit a practical project for their portfolio and receive a completion certificate. The standout projects may earn internship opportunities with MTS.
The online course is structured to accommodate students at various education levels. For beginners, the starter track covers essential web design skills, including hands-on use of Tilda and Figma, fundamentals of page layout, and core user interface principles. For those with some prior web design experience, the curriculum deepens with more advanced techniques and project work to build a robust portfolio.
According to MTS, nurturing a younger generation of IT professionals and building a strong, connected tech community are pivotal goals for the company as a technology leader. The program aims to reach regions with growing interest in technology, ensuring students learn about diverse IT professions at an early stage and gain practical experience. This is why MTS is launching the free IT school on the Generation M platform, in collaboration with educators and industry partners.
The initiative also highlights ongoing collaborations with top technical universities that have introduced applied courses and advanced programs in machine learning at leading institutions like the Higher School of Economics. Open applications for the All-Russian Programming Olympiad are now invited, welcoming school students, university participants, and seasoned IT professionals to compete and showcase their skills.
The web design curriculum spans two months. Throughout this period, learners complete six modules, each consisting of multiple video lessons and hands-on tasks. By the end of the program, students will design and publish a functional website, demonstrated through a final project that reflects their new capabilities. The evaluation focuses on how well the site meets user needs, its functionality, and the balance of originality and aesthetics, with constructive feedback from the MTS IT team to guide further growth.
