The State Duma expressed concern about the current situation on the Russian grain market. This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Alexey Gordeev at the congress of the Union of Peasant (Farm) Farms and Agricultural Cooperatives. TASS.
According to him, everything possible needs to be done to stimulate the grain market and make prices economically reasonable. Gordeev emphasized that grain is the basis of the agricultural economy and stable prices are extremely important for the development of agriculture.
The vice president noted that if the situation is not resolved, relevant sectors of the agro-industrial complex will suffer damage along the chain. For example, producers will not be able to purchase the necessary equipment, especially combine harvesters.
In addition, according to Gordeev, price inequality in the agricultural sector is increasing. At the same time, the law on the development of agriculture stipulates the state’s obligation to ensure price equality in industrial and agricultural products.
