According to the company’s press service, the MTS digital ecosystem is launching a free training program in the field of information technology on the Generation M online platform.
It was noted that schoolchildren from all over Russia will be able to master all stages of website creation in a workshop format, from concept and design to optimization. Additionally, at the end of the training, participants will complete a practical task to be included in the portfolio and receive a course completion certificate. At the same time, the authors of the most outstanding projects will be invited to do an internship at MTS.
The online course is designed for students at different educational levels, the company said. For example, the starter program includes the basics of web design: learning the Tilda and Figma graphic tools, basic page design, user interface principles and experience. A more in-depth look at advanced techniques is provided for schoolchildren with basic web design skills.
“Training the younger generation of IT specialists and creating a strong community are the most important tasks for MTS as a leader in the field of information technology. It is important for us that children in regions interested in technology learn about different IT professions at the earliest possible age and gain experience in this regard. “That’s why we are launching a free IT school on the MTS Generation M training platform,” said Pavel Voronin, First Vice President of MTS Technologies.
He reminded that many leading technical universities had previously launched applied courses, and a fundamental department in deep machine learning had been opened at the Faculty of Computer Science of the Higher School of Economics of the National Research University. According to him, applications are now being accepted for the All-Russian Programming Olympiad, in which both schoolchildren and students, as well as leading IT specialists, can participate.
Training at web design school lasts two months. During this time, students are expected to complete six modules, each containing a series of video lessons. At the end of the program, participants will independently create a website and showcase the skills they have acquired. The MTS IT team will evaluate the work in terms of functionality, compliance with user requests, as well as originality and aesthetics.
