Large car dealers began importing cars into Russia through parallel imports in order to resell them to other companies selling cars. In this respect informs newspaper “Vedomosti”.
The Avilon dealer network talked about importing cars for resale. Gratsin Belenova, head of the wholesale department, explained that the company has thus become an alternative distributor of brands that have stopped delivering cars to Russia. The volume of car lots that dealers order from the company ranges from 100 to 1 thousand cars.
Avilon cited, for example, the importation of more than 850 Chinese-made Volkswagen Bora into Russia. Another batch of Volkswagen Bora is expected this spring, as well as Tayron and Talagon, Voyah Dreamer, Toyota Camry, FAW B70, Jetta VA3, Hongqi H9 and Hongqi ES9.
Yulia Ovchinnikova, Director of Development and Innovation, said that the Klyuchavto company has a division to work with cars supplied to Russia through parallel imports. This will make it possible to supply cars not only to Klyuchavto, but also to partners of the company, he said.
