After the New Year, the official automobile garage of the State Duma will consist of “almost entirely” domestic cars. Deputy Denis Parfenov told socialbites.ca about this. He stated that he could not say the exact number of Lada Vesta cars purchased, but that one of the purchasing batches included 26 cars.

“One of the batches, that is, several non-simultaneous purchases, amounted to, I think, 26 cars. But there were few such acquisitions. So it’s hard for me to say how many there are. As I understand it, the task was set to replace all cars. There are quite a few there, I won’t say the total number but it looks like they’re going to transform the entire park. Before there were Ford and Hyundai, now everyone will be transferred to Lada. This will become widespread starting from the new year. They are now driven for a few days to get the drivers used to it, some of the specs and everything else. “It seems that all or almost all of the garage will consist of domestic cars,” he said.

Another State Duma deputy, Oleg Leonov, told socialbites.ca that the authorities do not choose the cars in which they will be transported. He explained that the change of the vehicle fleet started with vehicles with high kilometers.

“These are duty vehicles, that is, vehicles that can be used upon request, at the request of the deputy. I only ride these. Like most MPs, I do not have a personal car. We don’t choose cars, we just say you need a car to get there, and now Lada Vesta is available. They’re starting to show up, so not everything has been changed. Just as far as I understand, cars with high mileage began to be replaced by Lada Vesta. I’ve already driven two cars today, nice cars. The deputy can use his own car, his own car. But they don’t give him a company car to use. For example, I would be happy to drive the company car myself. There is no question. But there is no such possibility,” he said.

On December 28, deputy Oleg Leonov became the first reported We shot a video about Lada Vesta getting service and from inside the vehicle. He called the Lada Vesta a “great car” with a “pretty good interior”. The parliamentarian noted the presence of a multimedia system with a large vertically oriented screen on which navigation is displayed and a USB port.

Later deputy Alexander Tolmachev named The “correct decision” is to replace foreign cars in the State Duma garage with domestic ones. He noted that in this way, the status of Russian cars, which will be perceived as “auxiliary cars”, will increase. The use of car brands that disconnect Russians from remote services is stupid and a mockery of the customer, according to parliamentarians.

Previously at AvtoVAZ statedThat the members of the State Duma do not know how the new Lada Vesta cars in their garage are equipped.
