The crossover developed by AvtoVAZ on the Lada Vesta platform will have an original design that will not resemble the appearance of the currently produced model. In this respect reports “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”, citing the report of Evgeny Shmelev, the first vice president of AvtoVAZ.
At the Barcamp 2023 conference, Shmelev said that the company is focusing on developing cars on the Lada Vesta platform, as it has a high degree of localization and is controlled by AvtoVAZ. He also said that the crossover codenamed Lada B-Cross, created on this platform, will have a unique design.
“That doesn’t mean it will be Vesta. This car we just looked at is nothing like Vesta,” says Shmelev.
The senior manager noted that the design concept of Lada B-Cross was recently approved by the company’s president, Maxim Sokolov.
