The purpose of the partnership is the construction of three nuclear power plants designed to provide increasing energy demands for the development of artificial intelligence (AI) in the United States. It is assumed that each of the future stations will have at least 600 MW capacity compared to the development of a large traditional power plant. According to Google, the partnership with Elementl Power is part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its energy infrastructure. The aim is to provide continuous and reliable energy supply required for the uninterrupted operation of IT services and rapid development.
The next step will be the selection of common sites for the construction of stations with energy partners and regulatory authorities.
