The need to create such a solution stems from the fact that weak and easy -to -choose passwords are a widespread reason for hidden information leaks. It is stated that attackers actively use automatic tools, dictionaries and databases of agreed accounts for the attack.
The software complex developed in NSTU is designed to increase the level of information security, especially in organizations. The application contains several functional modules. One of them is a password assessment module that analyzes not only the length and varieties, but also the presence of recurrent or alternative combinations and also controls known leaks according to the databases. Another component is a password browser designed to identify non -secure accounting data within the corporate network. There is also a module that helps users to create reliable and easily unforgettable passwords.
Currently, the software complex is available for the Windows operating system, but the development of developers – the implementation of Linux platform support.
