Analytical Company Ookla Published The results of the January internet speed test showing changes in international indicators. Singapore became the leader at the fixed wide band internet speed, the UAE was the leader at the mobile internet speed, and Russia did not fall to the top 50.
According to the study, the constant internet was 52.84 Mbps for discharge with 97.61 Mbps and 9 ms delay to download global median speeds of the constant internet. Median load rate in Singapore reached 336.45 Mbps and unloading – 275.30 Mbps. In the ranking, UAE (310.05 Mbit/S), Hong Kong (305.71 Mbps), France (287.44 Mbit/s) and Iceland (281.95 Mbit/s).
The United States took the seventh position with the 274.16 Mbps load rate indicator, and Russia sank a line and ranked 67th at 90.06 mbit/s. In the last places there were Syria and Cuba, the average load rate had approximately 3 Mbps.
Compared to the previous year, the global median load rate increased by 5.7 Mbps compared to January 2024, when 91.93 Mbps. In Singapore, this indicator increased by 60 Mbps.
As for the mobile internet, the global media download speed reached 91.24 Mbps, which is equal to a fixed internet. This indicator has doubled compared to the previous year, where it was 50 Mbit/s.
The leader of the mobile internet rating was the UAE with an average load of 545.94 Mbps loading significantly exceeding the 302.38 Mbps recorded in January last year. The following are Qatar (521.51 Mbps), Kuwait (314.39 Mbps), Bulgaria (252.05 Mbps) and Bahrain (213.09 Mbps).
Russia ranked 87th with a 36.05 mbit/s indicator and rose to two positions. The last places between 104 countries took 13.20 Mbps and 1.88 Mbps, respectively, Bolivia and Eritrea.
