The Samsung S Pen stylus in the upcoming flagship smartphone Galaxy S25 Ultra will lose its built-in Bluetooth module. Authoritative insider Ishan Agarwal announced this on his page on social network X (formerly Twitter), citing unnamed retail sources.
If Agarwal’s information is verified, users will lose advanced functions, including gesture control and the ability to control the smartphone remotely.
One key feature that could be lost is the ability to remotely control the camera’s shutter, which is popular among mobile photography enthusiasts. So users can mount their smartphones on a tripod and take photos by pressing a button on the pen.
The launch of the flagship smartphones of the Samsung Galaxy S25 series will take place on January 22. Within the scope of the Galaxy Unpacked event, four smartphones are expected to be announced, including the second generation Galaxy Ring, Galaxy AR mixed reality headset and the new Galaxy S25 Slim with a thin body.
