The average price tag of cars in 2024 has remained almost unchanged – in December the price was 3.72 million rubles, which is 0.3% higher than in January. Avto.ru analysts told socialbites.ca about this.
“There was a downward trend in the average cost in the first half of the year and by July it fell to 3.57 million rubles, 4% lower than at the beginning of the year. “After that, the price started to grow again and by December it returned to the level of 3.72 million rubles,” he said.
However, it turned out that in some regions the difference in prices was even more pronounced. Thus, the average cost of a new car at the end of 2024 fell the most in the Novosibirsk region, falling to 3.77 million rubles, which is 29% less than the January figure. The second and third lines are occupied by the Kaluga Region and the Krasnoyarsk Territory (-26% and -25%, respectively).
However, the three regions where the average price tag increased the most were the Republic of Adygea (15%; 2.65 million rubles), Moscow (9%; 4.9 million rubles) and the Chelyabinsk region (6.2%; 3.09 million rubles).
According to Avto.ru, among the models officially sold in Russia, the ones whose prices have fallen the most are Moskvich 3 (-17.3%; 1.82 million rubles), Chery Arrizo 8 (-15%; 2.96 million rubles) and Chery It became Tiggo 8 Pro. Maximum (-14%; 3.79 million rubles). Meanwhile, the price of Changan CS35Plus (2.6 million rubles) and Lada Vesta (1.83 million rubles) increased by 11%.
