More than 50% of Russian IT specialists who went abroad reported that they want to return to their homeland. Such data are given in the results of a new study of the Russian Association of Electronic Communications (RAEC), received by socialbites.ca.

“49.3% of IT workers leaving Russia do not plan to return to Russia in the next six months, the remaining 50.7% want to return,” the report says.

Compared to May 2022, it was noted that the number of those considering the return option increased by 2.3%. The RAEC considered that the growth of those who want to return is associated with the gradual adaptation of work to new conditions and difficulties with employment and the regulation of the life of Russians in the country of relocation.

The number of IT workers considering relocation has also decreased, according to the survey. If 24 percent in May mentioned such plans in the future, it is now 20.9 percent.
