In Russia, by 2030, artificial intelligence (AI) technology will begin to be integrated into educational processes: Artificial intelligence will be able to take over some functions of teachers in universities and schools. MTS Deputy Head of Strategy and Innovation and General Director of Future Crew Evgeny Chereshnev told socialbites.ca.
“Automation of education and the introduction of artificial intelligence will help close one of the most important problems – we have a large number of talented students and a lack of talented teachers,” the expert said.
Chereshnev believes that the use of artificial intelligence instead of teachers will be possible when programs can solve problems related to maximum personalization of learning.
“This can be scoring of the learning potential of a particular person (an automatic system for evaluating a person according to various criteria – socialbites.ca) – analysis of his existing knowledge, predisposition to certain disciplines, openness to different types of educational content and so on. As a result, a set of such technologies will result in personalized artificial intelligence services that, based on the analysis of big data about a particular user, will be able to create his educational path for the coming years, selecting the most effective teaching methods for him. etc.,” Chereshnev guesses.
According to Chereshnev, the implementation of widespread inclusion of artificial intelligence in teaching processes can be seen in a horizon of 2-4 years both in Russia and the rest of the world.
“This will primarily affect the section on additional vocational training and courses, and then education in universities. “The implementation of artificial intelligence in schools as direct teachers will be much slower, because it is important for children and adolescents to have live mentors with whom they can establish emotional contact,” the expert said.
