American company Microsoft has stopped production of HoloLens 2 augmented reality glasses; It is no longer available for sale. This was reported by Gizmodo.

The HoloLens 2 headset was released in 2019 and was positioned for corporate users. It will receive updates until 2027, but these will only concern security issues.

Support for the first HoloLens headset, released in 2016, will end on December 10, 2024. It is stated that Microsoft does not plan to develop virtual and augmented reality devices.

Last year Microsoft announced Support for the Windows Mixed Reality platform, which allows users to access virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technology on devices running the Windows operating system using compatible headsets, has ended.
