Russian users no longer have the ability to install extensions for the Android Studio integrated development environment (IDE). This was reported by Badged.
An error message is displayed when you try to install any extension, including extensions from independent developers.
“Plugin not loaded: We’re sorry, but due to export control regulations we are unable to provide you with our products or services at this time,” the notification says.
It is currently unknown which regions the new rules apply to, as Google has yet to comment on the situation.
Android Studio is a widely used integrated development environment from Google for creating Android applications. You can write code, design a graphical interface, debug, and create applications for publication on stores.
