The Taiwanese rating agency has given Bully a “new age” status, indicating that Rockstar Games’ cult project could be released on modern platforms. reports Edition by TheGamer.
According to Taiwan Entertainment Software’s website, Bully’s rating was updated on August 19, 2024. This could be an indication of plans to rerelease or remaster the game for Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
TheGamer does not rule out that this prediction could indicate that the canceled development of the Bully sequel will resume, but journalists believe that Rockstar Games is more likely to release a remake or remaster before that.
In Rockstar Games’ case, the silence around Bully may not make up for the lack of new developments in the series: for example, the company released Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition in 2021 without giving any hints.
The original Bully was released in 2006 on the PlayStation 2. The game tells the story of young Jimmy Hopkins, a determined bully who has already transferred schools. Jimmy’s new school year begins at a notorious boarding school in small-town America, Bullworth.
