Messages about the creation of a phishing website for the Russian Ministry of Defense turned out to be a false alarm; the address of the soldier’s personal account on the ministry’s portal has changed. This was reported Telegram channel Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for organizing the fight against the illegal use of information and communication technologies.
On August 10, a message appeared on the control channel that Ukrainian special services had created a fake website of the Russian Ministry of Defense for phishing purposes. As the ministry explained, military personnel began to receive messages with links that downloaded the user’s personal data after clicking on which malware was installed on the device.
The message has now been deleted. Later, a post was published on the channel regarding the change of address on the soldier’s personal account.
