The HMD Barbie Phone flip phone has been approved by Chinese regulator TENAA, thanks to which the specifications and photos of the device have been published online, the portal reported. GSMArena.
The feature phone is being developed by HMD in collaboration with Mattel. The gadget will get an external 1.77-inch TFT display with a resolution of 128×160 pixels and a 2.8-inch main display with a resolution of 240×320 pixels. On the rear panel, above the external display, there is a 0.3-megapixel camera.
The phone’s performance will be determined by an unnamed 1GHz processor, as well as 64MB of RAM and 128MB of internal memory. The latter can be expanded using microSD memory cards. It is assumed that the HMD Barbie Phone will run the S30+ or ​​KaiOS operating system.
Among other features, there is support for 4G, Bluetooth, 1450 mAh battery, as well as the dimensions and weight of the device – 108x55x18.9 mm and 123 grams, respectively.
According to current parameters, the HMD Barbie phone is a rebranded Nokia 2660 Flip cover phone. The release date and cost of the new product have not yet been determined.
