Attacking journalists, even in war zones, is a violation of the Geneva Conventions. This was stated by Elizabeth Throssell, official representative of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), who writes DEA News.
According to him, the United Nations is aware that VGTRK war correspondent Evgeny Poddubny was wounded in the Kursk region. Throssell noted that the UN is currently working to gather additional information about this incident.
