According to the iPhone index (the ratio of the cost of a smartphone to the average salary in the region – socialbites.ca), residents of Chukotka and the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug can save up for the purchase of a new iPhone 15 Pro faster than Muscovites. . About this reports Hi-Tech Mail.ru publication with reference to a study conducted by the DamProdam service.
The iPhone index was calculated in 85 regions of Russia. The study was conducted based on Rosstat data on the average per capita income of the population and the official cost of the iPhone 15 Pro model with 128 GB of internal memory, which is 114,750 rubles on average in the Russian market.
To determine the iPhone index, DamProdam experts divided employees’ monthly salary by 21 working days per month to calculate how many days they would need to work to buy a smartphone in each region. It is important to note that the calculations do not take into account additional costs for food and accommodation, assuming that a person spends their entire salary on purchasing a gadget.
According to the results of the study, residents of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug will save up for the new iPhone 15 Pro the fastest, followed by the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug and the Nenets Autonomous Okrug. Moscow is only in fourth place in the ranking, and the Magadan region completes the top 5. Residents of Ingushetia, the Karachay-Cherkess Republic and Tyva will have the longest time to save up for a smartphone.
