Analytics company CIRP published Results of a study showing an increase in the number of users switching from Android to iPhone.
According to the research, the number of new iPhone owners who previously used Android smartphones increased significantly in June 2024. However, according to experts, this is not as positive news for Apple as it might seem at first glance.
Thus, the share of new iPhone users among old Android users will reach 17% in June 2024, the highest figure in the last five years. This result is significantly higher than last year’s 10%, but still below the historical record of 21% in 2017.
But sales of the latest iPhone 15 models remain low. Experts believe that old Android users are primarily interested in the new operating system, and not the latest models of Apple smartphones.
Analysts also note that as the number of new iPhone users increases, the rate at which existing owners are upgrading their devices is decreasing.
