ZTE has announced its flagship gaming smartphones Red Magic 9S Pro and 9S Pro+ in the Chinese market. Portal reports Mobile phone.
The main change in the new products, compared to the Red Magic 9 Pro smartphones introduced at the end of 2023, lies in the use of an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version chip. This solution is already used in the Samsung Galaxy S24 series smartphones, called Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for the Galaxy.
The manufacturer claims that the LE version of the processor allowed the smartphone to achieve a record result in the AnTuTu benchmark, where the devices showed 2,372,164 points. Thus, according to ZTE, the Red Magic 9S Pro can maintain a stable frame rate of 60 fps in the game Genshin Impact and 120 fps in Honkai: Star Rail at ultra graphics settings. This performance is achieved thanks to the improved cooling system, which has a large evaporation chamber and an internal cooler capable of reaching up to 22 thousand revolutions per minute.
Other features of the new products include a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2480×1116 pixels, a frequency of 120 Hz and a brightness of up to 1600 nits. As before, the smartphone uses a 16 MP in-display camera that remains invisible in inactive mode. Both devices have a triple camera represented by a 50 MP main sensor, a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2 MP macro module.
The battery in the new products is different. Thus, the Red Magic 9S Pro offers a 6500 mAh battery with 80W charging support, while the 9S Pro+ has a 5500 mAh battery with 165W fast charging support.
The new Red Magic 9S Pro and 9S Pro+ models will go on sale on July 9 with prices starting at 4,799 and 5,799 yuan (about 57.1 and 69 thousand rubles), respectively.
