American blogger Alec Choi, creator of the YouTube channel of the same name, was arrested in the United States for making a video featuring fireworks, helicopters and a Lamborghini Huracan. In this respect reports The Verge’s edition.
In the video, fireworks are shot from a helicopter while Choi drives his Lamborghini Huracan sports car. The video was posted on July 4, 2023, but was later removed from his channel.
According to investigators, the shooting took place at El Mirage Dry Lake, which is federal property in California. The blogger is accused of violating the law banning the transportation of explosive and incendiary devices on helicopters, as well as not having a permit to film.
Although Choi did not set off the fireworks himself, the prosecution finds him guilty because he admits to making a video in the style of the Grand Theft Auto (GTA) computer game. The US Federal Aviation Administration had previously revoked the helicopter pilot’s license on the grounds that he violated low altitude flight rules and created a dangerous situation.
After his arrest, the blogger was released on bail of 50 thousand dollars. He could face up to 10 years in prison.
The video featuring the helicopter and Lamborghini is not the blogger’s first disgusting act. In 2022, Choi shot a video of his Tesla Model S electric car crashing into two parked cars after jumping off a hill.
Previously in Ryazan removed Elon Musk’s “space train” video.
