WhatsApp is preparing to redesign the voice calling experience. In the new beta version of Android, the caller’s photo expands to full screen when there is an incoming call. In this respect reports WABetaInfo publication.
There are other new features related to searches. For example, the icons at the top let you minimize the call window or add participants to the current voice chat from your contact list.
An additional options item has been added to the bottom panel. The changes found affect the Android version of WhatsApp, and it is not yet clear whether the redesign will reach iOS users.
For now, only beta testers can evaluate the innovations. To do this, you need to download the client with build number 2.24.12.14 from Google Play. The update is expected to be available to other users in the coming days.
WhatsApp is an American free instant messaging and voice over IP service owned by Meta (known as extremist and banned in Russia). It allows users to send text and voice messages, make voice and video calls, share images, documents, user location and other content.
