“They are far ahead of anything we produce in the United States,” he said, reassuring congressmen somewhat by promising that chip production would be organized by TSMC, including in Arizona.
TSMC is one of the world’s largest electronic chip manufacturers. TSMC earned $69.3 billion in revenue in 2023, ahead of Intel and Samsung. In addition to Taiwan, where its main facilities are located, the company also establishes chip production facilities in the USA, Japan and Germany.
