Apple has launched a new section in the web version of the App Store, featuring applications and games for VisionOS, the operating system that supports the Apple Vision Pro mixed reality headset. In this respect reports MacRumor’s publication.
This section is designed so that potential Apple Vision Pro buyers can familiarize themselves with the range of applications for the headset without purchasing it. Previously, Vision Pro apps and games could only be viewed on the App Store version of the device.
You can access the new section by going to the App Store website and clicking on the “For Apple Vision Pro” button. On the page that opens, the user will see sections with applications and games, as well as a separate tab for projects from Apple Arcade.
On the site, apps are grouped into the same categories as those in the headset version of the App Store. In other words, you can find the “What’s New”, “What’s New this week”, “Games for iPhone, iPad and Vision Pro” and “Don’t Miss” tabs on the site. You can also browse apps by criteria like Weather, Utilities, Entertainment, Sports, Productivity and more.
Vision Pro is Apple’s first MR headset, launching in February 2024. The new product is currently sold only in the USA at a price of $ 3.5 thousand (about 324 thousand rubles at the exchange rate of March 17, 2024).
