In 2023, the iPhone 15 will receive the same screens as the iPhone 14 Pro, informs Portal Phone Arena, with reference to research firm Omdia. Previous leaks had reported that the next generation of Apple smartphones will be equipped with under-screen front cameras.
On the iPhone 14 Pro, which is scheduled for release in late 2022, Apple will drop the notch cutout for Face ID and the front camera in favor of two separate holes for the biometric sensor and camera. Smartphones of the iPhone 15 series, including the first models, will have the same openings instead of those hidden under the screen.
The Omdia report also states that Apple will be using the same size screens on the iPhone for two years in a row and that under-display sensors will only be implemented in the iPhone 16 series.
The iPhone 14 launch is expected in the fall of 2022. The iPhone 14 series will include four smartphones – iPhone 14, 14 Max, 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max. The iPhone 14 Max will be an enlarged version of Apple’s smartphone, which will replace the mini models.
