Mark Zuckerberg, the head of Meta (known as an extremist and banned in Russia), expressed his opinion about the Apple Vision Pro headset, which starts at $ 3.5 thousand compared to his own Quest 3 headset at $ 500. According to Zuckerberg, the Quest 3 outperforms the Vision Pro in most areas important to mixed reality users. reports MacRumors.
He listed the Quest 3’s more affordable price as one of its advantages over the Vision Pro. Apple’s device costs seven times more than the Quest 3. He also noted that the Quest 3 is 120 grams lighter than the Vision Pro and does not require cables to operate the helmet. Additionally, the Quest 3 has a wider field of view, a brighter screen, and no motion blur.
At the same time, according to the billionaire, Quest 3 supports hand control as well as controllers that facilitate interaction with the virtual space and provide more precise control. Finally, the Quest 3 has more apps and games in its library, including YouTube and Xbox support, which the Vision Pro lacks.
Zuckerberg admitted that he was surprised that Apple made so many compromises to get a higher screen resolution from the Quest 3. However, other aspects such as comfort, ergonomics and functionality also suffered in the process.
Previous owners of Vision Pro started to reject from the headset.
