The power cable connecting the Vision Pro’s battery pack to the headset, which appeared to be soldered, turned out to be removable. In this respect reports MacRumor’s publication.
Inverse journalist Ray Wong was able to use a “clip” to remove the SIM cards to unlock the Apple Vision Pro’s power cord and external battery. To do this, he inserted the sharp end of a “clip” into a special hole in the battery. Once unlocked, Wong was able to remove the connector and photograph it. The journalist told about this on his account X (Twitter).
The connector that connects the cable to the battery is very similar to Lightning. However, it is noticeably wider due to the greater number of contacts. MacRumors writes that the cable from the Vision Pro cannot connect to other accessories or Apple devices.
Apparently, the US company has made the cable detachable so that if the cable is damaged in any way, it can be replaced without having to replace the entire battery pack.
Apple Vision Pro will go on sale in the USA on February 2, 2024.
