In spring 2024, shortly after the launch of the flagship Galaxy S24 series smartphones, Samsung will most likely present an improved version of the inexpensive Galaxy A55 model with a new processor. In this respect reports Sammobile edition.
Samsung Galaxy A55 will receive the Exynos 1480 processor, the first test results of which have already appeared in the Geekbench test. According to them, the new chip will be much more efficient than the Exynos 1380 installed in the Galaxy A54.
In the single-core test, the Exynos 1480 scored 1180 points, while in the multi-core test it received 3536 points. For comparison: the results of the Exynos 1380 are 1108 and 2797 points in single-core and multi-core test modes, respectively.
Exynos 1480 has four high-performance cores clocked at 2.75 GHz and four power-efficient cores clocked at 2.05 GHz. It features the RDNA 2-based Xclipse 530 GPU, which is much more powerful than the Mali GPUs found in previous Exynos chips.
