The latest beta version of WhatsApp for iPhone has added a feature to protect the user’s IP address when making calls. In this respect reports WABetaInfo portal.
The innovation was noticed in the beta version of WhatsApp for iOS under the number 23.20.1.73.
Thanks to this feature, users will be able to hide their IP addresses when making voice and video calls. This will make it harder for attackers to obtain the user’s IP address and calculate their location, for example.
This feature was also seen in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android with the number 23.20.1.73.

What’s up
You can enable IP address protection in the “Privacy” section in the messaging settings. The innovation will be useful when communicating with unknown WhatsApp users who may turn out to be attackers.
Protection is provided by transferring calls to the WhatsApp server. It is therefore assumed that the function may become unstable under heavy load.
For now, the feature to protect your IP address is only available to some users testing beta versions of WhatsApp on Android and iOS. The timing of the global launch has not been announced yet.
Previously, WhatsApp users were allowed Create AI stickers.
