Publisher Felix Lengyel, aka xQc, has signed a $100 million deal with streaming platform Kick. writer The New York Times newspaper.
Under the two-year contract, Lengyel will receive $70 million from Kick and $100 million if additional conditions are met. According to the blogger, it will focus on Kick, where it expects more freedom and less pressure from moderators.
Felix Lengyel is one of the most popular streamers with over 11 million Twitch subscribers, including 40,000 paid subscribers.
Kick is a streaming platform that promises its users minimal intervention to their content and a commission as low as 5% from revenue, while Twitch charges 50% from publishers. Also, Kick does not ban users for random violations, which sets the platform apart from Twitch.
