According to a study by CIPR in the US, around 14% of Apple smartphone buyers have switched from Android devices in the last 12 months, while only 4% of former iPhone owners have switched to Android.
In addition, most of the users, when replacing a smartphone, stick to the operating system of the device – 94% adherence to iOS, and Android – 91%.
The researchers also learned from which devices smartphone buyers are switching to Android and iOS. The Apple operating system turned out to be more attractive to Android users. Possible reasons for the switch to iPhone include battery and communication issues faced by some gadget owners running Android.
