Already on July 26, 2023, Apple will turn off the service of automatic uploading of photos to iCloud “My Photo Stream”. In this respect informs MacRumors version.
My Photo Stream is used to automatically take photos to the cloud from devices such as iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Mac and PC. Once photos are downloaded from a device, they can be viewed, edited and downloaded on the user’s other gadgets.
When My Photo Stream is turned off, pictures synced using this feature will disappear from the gallery on all devices except the original device. To maintain access to photos in all gadgets, Apple recommends saving them to the memory of the desired additional device.
After turning off “My Photo Stream”, automatic uploading and syncing of photos will be taken over by the currently running iCloud Photos service. iCloud Photos supports any iPhone and iPad running iOS 8.3 and later, and any Mac running OS X Yosemite and later.
