Former Twitter employees sue Elon Musk over a ‘hotel’ at headquarters 10:36

Elon Musk is being sued by six former Twitter employees for breach of contract, breach of working conditions and various fraud cases. It has been reported business insider. A separate item on the plaintiffs’ list of claims is the billionaire’s desire to turn the company’s headquarters into a “hotel”.

It is known that right after Musk’s acquisition of Twitter, in October 2022, he ordered the office space to be converted into a dormitory for employees who will stay at work until the night. The San Francisco Department of Construction, where Twitter is headquartered, learned of this by requesting Musk to equip fully-fledged bedrooms for such needs.

One of the company’s former employees, Joseph Killian, was responsible for furnishing the bedrooms in accordance with city code. In a conversation with his superiors, he expressed concern that rooms would have locks that would not open automatically when the fire alarm went off. The lawsuit says he was later forced to resign because he refused to install locks that would “endanger employees’ lives.”

Now former Twitter employees plan to sue Musk for his reforms and forced dismissal. It is known that the San Francisco authorities have already launched a relevant investigation into the activities of the billionaire. No statement was made on Twitter on the subject.
