The WhatsApp messaging team is developing a feature to use animated emoji in chats. Portal reports WABetaInfo.
The feature was spotted in the beta version of the desktop service. According to WABetaInfo experts, animated emojis will improve the user experience by making correspondence “more fun” and emotions “shiny”.
If there is an animated version of the emoji selected by the user, the animation will start automatically. Animated emojis are created using Lottie, a custom web development library. As noted on WABetaInfo, it would be nice to consider disabling this feature in the settings for those who manage the messenger, who find the emoji animation unnecessary and interfere with the perception of information.
The feature is expected to be available to a wide range of users in the near future.
Formerly socialbites.ca we talked about itAn update to a popular feature was found in the beta version of WhatsApp messenger update 2.23.8.24. Users will now be able to add new captions to the files they send if they decide to delete the original message.
