The flagship smartphone Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra paints babies’ teeth at the finishing stage of photos. In this respect informs The edition of The Verge refers to one of its readers.
A reader sent photos of her seven-month-old daughter to reporters. Some are unprocessed, others after applying the Photo Remastered effect from the standard One UI image editor. The processed photos show that the smartphone has added teeth to the child’s open mouth that physiologically could not have been at such a young age.
“Them [читатель и его супруга] Expected something similar to what Google Photos did: removing blur, adding some filters and so on,” writes The Verge.
Journalists described the result as “terrible”. They praised Photo Remastered for retouching the mucus under a child’s nose, but were stunned by the teeth that appeared in the open mouth.
The Verge writes that the issue most likely only affects the Galaxy S23 Ultra. In any case, no one from the editors was able to reproduce the same effect on their smartphones in the Galaxy S22 series.
