Blizzard opened early access to the Diablo IV beta for players who pre-ordered the game, but many could not use the privilege due to technical problems experienced by the developer. In this respect informs DTF version.
For those who pre-ordered the game, closed beta testing started on March 17 at 19:00 Moscow time. Shortly after the set time, complaints of not being able to connect to Diablo IV servers started appearing on the network. The project website gives an error with the text “The game cannot be started at this time”.
In contrast, those who connected to the servers were not able to enter the game immediately. They had to queue up. At the same time, the game client displayed a timer counting down the time until the start of the game session. In most cases, the wait continued even after the countdown was over.
“Players may experience queues when logging into Diablo IV during Early Access this weekend. Please note that the countdown may end and exceed the time specified on the timer. Don’t leave the queue because that will reboot it,” Blizzard said.
Screenshots posted by social media users show that in some cases, waiting in line can take 120 minutes or longer.
